H55 Begins Tour of the US in Bristell Energic
April 15, 2025, Kyle Hodgson
H55 is an electric aviation propulsion company. They are the technological spin-off of Solar Impulse, which was the first electric airplane to have flown around the world, propelled only by solar energy. Recently, they've been partnering with BRM Aero on the Bristell Energic. It's a trainer with a bit more range than Pipistrel's electros.
AirCharge has spotted Bristell Energic aircraft in Germany and Spain over the last few months, flying what we would guess are certification flights. I can only imagine how beautiful and fun it would have been to fly these certification flights - quiet aircraft, flying over the stunning Balearic Islands, sign me up!
Recently, H55 has also announced that they're doing a tour of the US. Of course, regular readers and other astute observers may no doubt think immediately of the Beta Barnstorm tour of the US, which we've covered here and here.
I've added HB-SXD to my register, and I'm hoping that AirCharge's maps will begin to show it tomorrow.
There are a ton of cool events listed, including Oshkosh, go check it out!
